Hiya, I'm Maia!

I'm an Industrial Design student at the University of Cincinnati with a passion for furniture, lighting, and softgoods. In my design process I aim to move fluidly between sketching, prototyping, and iteration in order to reach effectively beautiful solutions. I believe that strong design exists in the details and proportions that follow the function of the product. My goal is to create work that is not only visually compelling, but meaningful and lasting in its impact on the end user.

Outside of design I partake in numerous crafty hobbies (a hobby-hopper some might say) including oil painting, beading, jewelry making, and upcycling thrifted goods to name a few. I also have a passion for health and wellness, practicing mindful living and fitness :-)
